What a season 2023 was for our poor Chambourcin vines. Wet feet from the winter floods and ongoing wet conditions during spring offered challenges that only the super grape, Chambourcin could endure. Thankfully, due to the warm dry ripening season this wine shows the medium weight and bright red fruit the grape is renown for with a hint of old English mint which provides a wonderful lift. Try it slightly chilled on a hot summer day as it is designed to drink now and over the next few years.
We hope you enjoy our 2023 Unruly Chambourcin, the first of its kind but definitely not the last.
